Al Amin Stud
Since 2002 a facility like a paradise is growing at Al
Amin Stud close to Cairo. The love to horses inspired Mr. Mohamed Amin to
create a unique place to offer each horse best conditions and a life full
of love. The result is one of the most beautiful and impressing studs in
Egypt.
In order to find horses of highest quality Mr. Mohamed Amin met one of the
most famous straight egyptian breeders of Europe Peter Gross in Germany.
He
immediately fell in love with the outstanding exotic of these horses and
was fascinated by the the stallion Mahfouz out of beautiful Mahameh.
Beside the interesting fact that all bloodlines of Peter Gross are the same
Halima and Bukra lines as Judith Forbis used in her program and which stand
for the high value of this pure genetic source Mr. Mohamed Amin and Mr.
Peter Gross became friends and partners. After importing Mahfouz and his
full sister Maboubah the whole stock of Peter Gross and some important mares
and stallions from other studs of Germany followed two years later to enrich
the Al Amin Stud program. They include Mobeba Merlina by Shaik al Jiwan
tracing back to Malikah and Bint Toali of Anaza el Farid. Two breeding prospects
are the El Thay Moufid and El Thay Ali Pasha. They trace back both to Moheba
II and Malikah and carry the Ansata Halim Shah blood doubled.
To the diversitivity and broad basis of the breeding program Mr. Mohamed
Amin added the black stallion Blue Mashar a grandson of famous Imperial
Madheen and out of Egypt`s Blue Dal Noir who has Morafic in the father line.
He covered already the only black mare of the stud Masaka al Qamar who has
the Ibn Galal strain in the mother line.
The breeding program of Al Amin stud is focused on maintaining the exotic
and originality of the Arabian horse combined with the challenges of modern
ideals. The program is built on three main mares such as Haneefah, Shahestah
and Zahraweyah.
Haneefah is a daughter of Hafeed Anter out of Kadria from the Kohailan strain
tracing back to Malaka. Her pedigree shows famous dams such as Kawmia, Lubna,
Nazeera, Basima and Kamar as well as the sires Anter, Sultan, Alaa el Din
and Wahag. Her 2003 daughter Habiba by Mahfouz is in foal to Moulay Pasha.
Shahestah is a daughter of Shadwan out of Mobhegah of the Hadban Enzahi
strain and has a pedigree with beautiful names like the mares Salwa, Yosreia,
Nefisa, Kamla, Mabrouka and Kamar beside the sires Farazdac, Alaa el Din,
Anter and Shaarawi. Her 2003 daughter Hekayah by Mahfouz is a future prospect.
Zahraweyah is a Mourad daughter out of Zowailah from the Saklawi strain.
She is three times inbred to Moniet el Nefous. The dam gallery in her pedigree
shows Fayrooz, Mabrouka, Mouna and Badia. The sires are Ibn Hafiza, Ameer
and Gassir. She has a 2006 foal beside by Fahd of the Obeyan strain.
Peter Gross explains his breeding program:
The basis of my present horses is Moheba II, a daughter
of Ghazal and out of Malacha who traces back to Moheba I and herewith to
Halima, the mother of the famous Ansata Ibn Halima. Through this Ghazal
(by Nazeer out of Bukra) is a full brother of Ansata Bint Bukra.
My interest in this blood was extremely high because in my opinion there
are four important bloodlines such as Halima, Bukra, Moniet and Kamla. In
addition to that there are the two sires of the rodanian blood Alaa el Din
and Kaisoon going back to the valuable Kateefa.
My aim was to breed back to Moheba II and especially to her two daughters
Mona II and Molesta both by Hadban Enzahi (by Nazeer out of Kamla). Their
full brother Madkour I is manifested in almost all of the pedigrees of my
horses..
Through the stallion Ibrahim the Moniet blood and the blood of Alaa el Din
came in. In the same time the blood of Malikah, a full sister of Moheba
II, came in through the sire of Ibrahim, Mahomed. Out of this combination
came the mare Mahameh who became my foundation mare and mother of the now
Al Amin horses Maboubah and Mahfouz.
One of the other main mares is Molesta who again is out of a daughter of
Mona III by Machmut who was a son of Ibrahim out of the full sister of Mona
III the original Molesta.
The second main mare Saemah comes from Saklawi strain and traces back to
Inshass. She is a daughter of El Samraa (by Kaisoon and out of Bind Wedad).
Her sire is again Madkour I by Hadban Enzahi and out of Moheba II.
This way the mares Mahameh, Molesta and Saemah built up the basis of my
breeding program. In order to enforce the breeding process the stallions
El Thay Moufid and El Thay Ali Pasha got in and brought again the blood
of Moheba II and Malikah. Both stallions are twice inbred to Halim Shah.
In addition they bring the blood of Bint Bukra, Morafic and Bint Mabrouka.
